Te amamos Ella eterna, inolvidable ❤️
Art Tatum was the innovator. Oscar was his imitator. MCCOY TYNER was the SEISMIC SHIFT in piano technique & harmonics; no one like him to this day.
❤❤
So beautiful couple¡¡
In all interprétations it is very difficult say I love one or one because ELLA is sublimissime in all performances ❤❤❤ with my great admiration and respects sincerely 😭😭😭💎💎💎💎💎❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻thoughts respectueuses to your familys ❤ (2024/26/04) 💕💕💕💕💕💕🌈
Woody Herman was asked why he played the alto saxophone like Johnny Hodges and his response was “isn’t that how you’re supposed to play the alto saxophone?”
Grandissimi 😊
Jeahhhh
Saw this tour in Chicago
When music just makes you smile, you know it's good! I love this!!!
Very genius idea great music this is not for the bigginers
Great story that Horowitz had arranged some stupidly difficult variations on Tea for Two. He called Tatum and asked him to come up so he could hear them. Tatum said incredible. Would you like to hear me play Tea For Two.. he then sat down and played Tea for Two until Horowitz stopped him and said when did you compose these.. Tatum said just now…
NHØP!!!
Te amo Ella❤
Ernestine!!!!!!!!
Moi je vous adore Madame.❤
OMG it dont get better than this!
Jazz always.put me in a.good mood
He.didnt.do. a.good job poor ella nearly.broke.her neck.coming down those stairs
Amazing.
I hate comparisons, they were both super great, differences ,well Tatum had to me a better left hand, and a much softer touch ,however their is know best, just one of the best, because technique is important but it is not everything,I could easily add jp Johnson , Donald Lambert, fatha Hines, and Willie the lion, and dick Hyman and many more to this list.theirs alot out their.but in the end, Tatum was the colossus.
Wanna play that ? 40 years everyday ;:)
Ze was een van de beste er is geen 2de supper mooi
Excellent !¡! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
The magic of jazz in its ultimate magnificence...spontaneity, generosity, complicity....pure love in music
🤌💎🎶🌟💯🎯Ahhh YEAH, sooooo well~stated!!
👍❤️
A nobreza de carácter desta gente!!!!!
Classy...a masterpiece
Basie's longest tenured bassist, the immeasurable Cleve Eaton!!!
how splendid they two giants are
I once saw Ella on TV singing with Frank Sinatra. Frank Sinatra’s body language and facial expressions showed that he was in ABSOLUTE awe of Ella Fitzgerald. MUSIC r
the genius that was Oscar Peterson....the artist who knew every square inch of the piano inside out, who played them notes as nobody could, had the humbleness to lay out the first chorus, because...well... it's Ella...what else do you need when she's singing?...and I'm pretty sure that was just a spontaneous decision by him.
I LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH, ELLA!!! 🥰
YUM. That's really I can say. My ears are so happy.
Recorded with a potato
Great!!!
Ella loves a great base player.. NHOP was that.. She was married to Ray Brown…
Absolutely superb, what an artist
I love this version and in the same way I love the studio version with Ben Webster on tenor sax. The louder bass guitar sound is a creative improvisation in replacement of the sax which is a jazz way of doing it.
This is the best rendition of the song by both of them. I wish they'd recorded a studio version
BEST SAMMY´S VERSION EVER , FOR ME....
They should've p;layed Tatums Tiger Rag---the piece they feature here ois good but Tatum isnt even out of 1st gear in this video compared to what he could actually do/how virtoustic he could play.
Wow, the completeness of her voice. If I could marry a sound it would be Ella’s voice.
She will always be the greatest!!!🎼🎤❤💙🧡
It should also be said that the drummer is Martin Drew who had made several appearances and recordings with Oscar, Niels, and joe pass. He always laid down a rhythm that made the music take on a special meaning.
My girl!!! "Scats" like no other.
She just COMMANDS the bands!
I LOVE HER FOR ALL TIME!
Singing the intro Acappela - wow!
She did that!!!
PROS! True Professionals. Lovers and deliverers of MUSIC. Just watched this year's Song of the Year performed at the Grammy's, the absurd "Wet Ass Pussy" and had to put the fire out in my eyes and soul, so came to the greatest. There, all better.
